Standing Feet First Entry (Jump)
The Standing Feet First Entry is a method of entering aquatic environments in a safe and controlled manner. There are multiple ways of safely entering the water, and specific skills (such as a walking entry, or our Safe Entry skill, which is a seated entry) may be better suited for different environments or circumstances.
The Standing Feet First Entry skill is defined as the following:
Entry Sequence
Observe the area to identify an exit, and ensure it is safe to enter
Stand at the edge of the pool deck
Step or jump forward away from the pool edge
Enter the water feet first
Return to surface
Inhale to take a breath
