Single Bob Scoring Rubric
The student will begin by holding onto a wall or standing in at least chest deep water. The student will fully submerge their head and exhale to blow bubbles while underwater. To complete the skill, the student will return their head above the surface and take a breath. The student may hold the wall or remain standing on the bottom for the duration of this skill.
Exhibits any of the following:
❌ Does not attempt to submerge
❌ Does not submerge mouth or face

✅ Returns mouth or face above surface and takes a breath
Exhibits any of the following:
❌ Does not fully submerge head

Performs all of the following:
✅ Fully submerges head
✅ Returns head above surface and takes a breath

❌ Does not exhale underwater

Performs all of the following:
✅ Fully submerges head
✅ Exhales while underwater
✅ Returns head above surface and takes a breath
